Now this right here is why we all love mods on PC games. Black Myth: Wukong is an amazing third-person action RPG, inspired by Dark Souls and Sekiro. The game relies on melee and magic attacks. But what if you could play it in first-person with guns? Well, thanks to this mod, it’s now possible to get that experience on PC.
Going into more details, the Gun Mod allows you to use AK47 rifles and AWP sniper rifles. You can also switch at will from a third-person to a first-person perspective.
But wait, there is more. Inspired by Max Payne and other shooters, this mod also has a Bullet Time mechanic. By hitting “C”, you’ll enter Bullet Time. Bullet Time has a 30-second cooldown, will clear all sticks, and will consume a certain amount of health and mana.
This mod will completely change the way you experience Black Myth: Wukong. Seriously, it’s like playing a different game. As such, I highly recommend downloading it. This will make you start a second playthrough.
At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. From what I can see, the game becomes a lot easier with guns. Well, that was to be expected. After all, Black Myth: Wukong was never meant to be played this way. Still, this is a crazy cool concept.
Speaking of Black Myth: Wukong, I also suggest downloading these other mods for it. The first one enables Virtual Shadow Maps. This is a must for everyone who doesn’t use Ray Tracing. By default, the game has awful shadows, making everything look kind of bad. So, make sure to get it if you don’t want to use Path Tracing. Then we have a mod that adds an in-game map. Since BMW lacks one, this is a must for pretty much everyone.
Finally, you can download a few mods to replace the main protagonist. By using them, you can play as Goku, Kratos or Deadpool. These are just character-swap mods. Still, I’m pretty sure that some of you may be interested in them.
Black Myth: Wukong has been a commercial success for Game Science. As such, I can’t wait to see what the devs have in store for us in their next game.
