Farming Simulator 25 feature

Farming Simulator 25 and Alan Wake 2 have sold 2 million and 1.8 million units, respectively

GIANTS Software has announced that Farming Simulator 25 has sold 2 million units in its first week. Similarly, Remedy has announced that Alan Wake 2 has sold 1.8 million units on all platforms.

GIANTS Software noted that there were over 125K players playing simultaneously on launch day on Steam. In total, the series has sold over 40 million units on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Moreover, the devs plan to release free content updates, patches, and expansions.

On the other hand, Remedy shared some new details about its other franchises. As the team noted, CONTROL 2 will be an action RPG. Plus, the first CONTROL will receive a free update in early 2025. This update will unlock some previously released content.

It’s a shame that Alan Wake 2 has not sold better. Then again, the game is exclusive on Epic Games Store. And, since Epic Games published it, we may never see it on Valve’s store. It sucks but it is what it is.

Anyway, just yesterday, Remedy released a new update for AW2. Among other things, that patch allowed players to boost the flashlight while reloading the weapon.

As for Farming Simulator 25, I’m not that surprised by its success. Let’s not forget that the peak number of concurrent players for Farming Simulator 22 was 105K. In other words, the game had already found its fanbase on Steam. Still, the fact that the 2025 version is more successful is commendable. So kudos to the devs for not dropping the ball.

Stay tuned for more!
