Earlier this month, we informed you about a graphics mod for Batman: Arkham Origins. Created by modder GPUnity, that mod aimed to slightly improve the game’s graphics. And today, we have another mod that will greatly increase the game’s difficulty.
This Vengeance Difficulty Mod is for those who have already beaten the game, and want an extra challenge. This isn’t meant to be used in your first playthrough. So, make sure to use it only if you are fully accustomed to the game’s combat mechanics.
Going into more details, the mod brings a number of gameplay tweaks and changes. Moreover, it makes enemies more dangerous and intelligent. Plus, it reworks the campaign bosses.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. So, be sure to watch it.
GPUnity has also created mods for almost all the other Batman: Arkham games. For example, last month, we talked about the final version of his mod for Batman: Arkham Asylum, which added 4K textures to the game. There’s a similar mod for Batman: Arkham City called Arkham City Redux. That mod adds, among other things, support for DirectX 11. You can also download the Ascension Mod for Arkham City. This mod changes the upgrade system, tweaks combat and enemy AI, and adds new difficulty options.
So, if you’re planning to replay these old Batman: Arkham games, I suggest doing so with these mods. These are, right now, the best mods for these games.
But wait. There are mods for the first three Batman: Arkham games but what about Batman: Arkham Knight? Well, GPUnity is right now working on an Insane Difficulty Mod for it. However, there aren’t any plans for a 4K Texture Pack for it. That’s a bummer. Nevertheless, Arkham Knight still looks great on PC, even with its vanilla textures. I recently played it, and I can tell you that it still holds up. And, contrary to what everyone has been saying, I was not really annoyed by the Batmobile sections.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
