Although Bloodborne has not been released on PC, modders are already working on improving the PS4 version which can now run on PC via shadPS4. And, these past couple of months, modder ‘fromsoftserve’ has been working on Bloodborne Remaster Project. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
Bloodborne Remaster Project brings major graphical enhancements to Bloodborne. The mod enables dynamic shadowcasting for the entire game. It also modifies the range and visibility of shadows. Not only that but it packs some higher-quality textures.
And that’s not all. This mod even adds new lights to the game. Plus, it adds pointlights for street lamps, and wall lamps, and many will be shadowcasting as well. The mod also enables more ambient occlusion to be used by the game, by modifying the gparam files. Hell, it even adds parallax occlusion mapping to various surfaces.
In short, this is exactly what you’d expect to see in a remastered version of Bloodborne. And now, PC gamers can experience it on the PC.
All you have to do is download the mod from this link. For an even better experience, you can get Bloodborne Visual Tweaks as it can add TAA, RTGI, MXAO, and more.
To showcase how Bloodborne can look on the PC, fromsoftserve shared the following video. So, make sure to watch it.
As I’ve reported, Bloodborne can be played from start to finish on PC via shadPS4. Performance seems to be great, though emulation is not yet 100% perfect. As such, you might encounter some bugs and visual glitches here and there.
And there you have it. Although Sony does not have any plans for a Bloodborne Remaster, you can actually enjoy such a thing on PC. And this is why mods are so cool and important.
Before closing, some rumors surfaced last month, suggesting that Sony may reveal a Bloodborne Remake in the next couple of days. Since I don’t want to get your hopes up, these rumors appear to be fake. According to insiders, Sony does not plan to reveal such a thing. So, don’t get hyped for any Bloodborne news.
Finally, you can download the latest version of shadPS4 from this link.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
