Aspyr has revealed the official PC system requirements for Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run this remastered collection.
The remasters will at least need an Intel i3 or AMD FX-4100 with 4GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 or AMD Radeon HD 8670D. You’ll also need 2GB of free disk space.
The devs recommend using an Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2080 or an AMD Radeon RX 6750.
Sadly, Aspyr has not listed the graphics settings, resolution, and framerates these PC specs target. My guess is that the Recommended are for 4K/60FPS. Otherwise, it makes no sense at all to recommend an NVIDIA RTX 2080.
In Soul Reaver, players will assume the role of Azriel. Players will slay their former vampire brethren with their claws, bolts of telekinetic energy, and the elemental Wraith Blade. To grow stronger, players will be devouring the souls of their enemies.
One of the biggest game mechanics of the Soul Reaver games was the ability to shift between the Spectral and Material Realms. So, players will traverse the realms to solve puzzles, reveal new paths, and defeat their foes.
The remasters will have better 3D models, higher-quality textures, and a better lighting system. Basically, they will be similar to the remasters of the Tomb Raider Trilogy.
Aspyr will release Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered on December 10th.
Stay tuned for more!
