Megabit Publishing has announced a new PvPvE multiplayer stealth game from Warren Spector, called Thick As Thieves. This is said to be a new take on stealth, in which you get to be the thief you want to be in a living world.
In Thick As Thieves, players will be able to hide, sneak, and steal their way through the ranks as they match their cunning against rival thieves in an immersive living world of stories and shadows.
Players will delve into the city, a world rich in characters, stories, and mystery. They will learn about the powerful, the criminal, and the craven as they break into their strongholds and steal both their gold and their secrets. Moreover, the will explore their own personal storyline, mission by mission, and shape their destiny and journey.
The devs claim that your choices will unlock unique playstyles and strategies that shape your thief character. The game will have a fusion of emergent multiplayer gameplay and dynamic storytelling. In theory, this will allow you to immerse yourself in a living world where no two nights are ever the same, ensuring endless challenges and discoveries. Or at least that’s the devs claim.
Since I’m not a big fan of MP games, this isn’t my cup of tea. In my opinion, it would make more sense to release this as a single-player title, with a tied story. You know, like Dishonored.
Anyway, enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
