A number of players were unhappy that STALKER 2 did not have a fast-travel option. So, if you felt the same way, you’ll be glad to know that a new mod has been released to fix this problem.
Created by modder ‘lopsi’, the following mod allows you to fast-travel anywhere on the map. All you have to do is hover over any marker on the map, including your own, and press Z. And that’s it.
Now I know this doesn’t make a lot of sense for a STALKER game. However, it’s a cool QoL improvement, especially for those who want to loot enemies and return to camps to sell them.
In my opinion, a better solution would be to only teleport in specific towns/villages. But hey, this is at least an improvement for those who were put off by the lack of a fast-travel option.
Do note that depending on where you teleport to (if there are many buildings/objects around) you may get stuck. If this happens, you can use the console command “XSetNoClipGSC true 500” to get out, and then “XSetNoClipGSC false” to disable again.
You can download the mod from this link. To use it, you’ll also need to install UE4SS. Otherwise, the mod will not work. You can find an installation guide on its NexusMods page.
Speaking of STALKER 2, I also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. For instance, this mod attempts to restore most of the online A-Life functionality. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than the vanilla version. This is a must until GSC GameWorld fixes A-Life 2.0. Let’s also not forget this mod that adds a Parkour-like climbing system to the game. This is another must-have mod for all STALKER 2 players.
And that’s not all. Earlier this month, we shared a mod that allowed you to loot all mutants. This was a feature present in all previous STALKER games that was apparently cut from STALKER 2.
Finally, you can download a mod that will remove the inventory carry/weight limit. I’m not a fan of this last mod but hey, some of you may like it. Then there is a mod that enables real-time dynamic flashlight shadows. Oh, and we also have a mod that can further improve the game’s graphics, and enable GTAO.
STALKER 2 received its latest official update almost two weeks ago. That patch addressed a number of quest blockers and gameplay issues. So, basically, it’s been almost a month and A-Life 2.0 is still a mess. Not only that but we haven’t received any performance improvements at all. I get it it’s December. However, this is exactly why I called it an Early Access game when it came out.
Stay tuned for more!
