It appears that an official remake of Sword and Fairy 4, using Unreal Engine 5, is currently in development. And although we don’t have enough details about it, you can find below its debut in-engine trailer.
The Legend of Sword and Fairy 4 came out on PC in 2007. And, even to this date, there is no Western version of it. On Steam, Sword and Fairy 4 is only available in Chinese. So, while you can buy and play it, you won’t get the best experience as it lacks English menus.
Anyway, Sword and Fairy 4: Remake will take advantage of UE5. And, if the trailer is anything to go by, it will offer great visuals.
According to a lot of people, Sword and Fairy 4 is one of the best parts of the series. So, it’s a great thing we get a remake of it. After all, most of you may have never even heard of it.
There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
To be honest, I don’t expect to see this remake until 2026. SOFTSTAR ENTERTAINMENT hasn’t even released a press release for it. There is also no Steam page for it. So yeah, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to it. So, let’s hope it will be worth the wait.
Enjoy the trailer!
