Square Enix has revealed the first PC screenshots and the official PC system requirements for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. FF7 Rebirth will be still using Unreal Engine 4, so let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run it.
PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i3-8100 with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6600 or Intel Arc A580 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. With this PC setup, you’ll be able to play at 1080p on Low with 30FPS.
For gaming at 1080p/Medium with 60FPS, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-8700 or Core i5-10400 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070.
Finally, for gaming at 4K/Ultra with 60FPS, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 5 5700 or an Intel Core i7-10700 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX or an NVIDIA RTX 4080.
The devs claim that for 4K, you’ll at least need 16GB of VRAM. The game will also require 155GB of free disk space. To run it, you’ll also need a GPU that supports Shader Model 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Square Enix will release Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC on January 23rd. According to the team, the PC version will come with some PC enhancements over the console version.
SE has updated some of the 3D models and textures. To be more precise, the LoD for background models and MIP maps for background textures can both be freely configured in the options settings. With this background polygon density and texture density can be set higher than previously. Moreover, the devs have improved the lighting in some areas. Plus, there will be support for DLSS from the get-go.
Square Enix has not listed Denuvo on the game’s Steam store page. However, I’m certain the game will have it. So, expect SE to list it a few days before the game comes out.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
