Black State feature-2

Take a Look at the Full CES 2025 Demo of Black State

IGN has shared a video, showcasing the full CES 2025 demo of the upcoming third-person action game, Black State. Black State is a game that immediately caught my attention. And, even in its current alpha state, it looks amazing.

Black State is a third-person action adventure game that appears to be heavily inspired by Meta Gear Solid and The Matrix. For an indie title, it pushes some truly incredible graphics. I mean, look at the gameplay video. It looks amazing.

One of the big features of the game will be its portal doors. This will make the gameplay exciting and always changing. Or at least that’s what the devs claim. Every time you open a door, you can find yourself in a new adventure, which makes the game thrilling and a bit dangerous. You can also go back through the same door, giving you control over where you explore.

Black State will be among the first games to support NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Reflex 2. And although it will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, it will support ray-traced reflections on PC.

The folks at Digital Foundry have also shared some new tech details about it. According to DF, the game won’t be using Lumen or Nanite. Instead, it will have custom solutions. Not only that but the demo ran ridiculously fast. At Native 4K, the NVIDIA RTX 5090 was able to run it with 100FPS. Then, with DLSS 4, this upcoming GPU was able to come close to 400FPS. Oh, and it appears that the game won’t suffer from any stuttering issues. So yeah, you can have an optimized UE5 game on PC.

There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
