EA and DICE held the first beta testing for the new Battlefield game and a couple of gameplay videos have leaked from it. These are really low-quality videos, and do not show much. So, be sure to temper your expectations.
From what we know so far, Battlefield 6 will be similar to BF3. Or at least that’s the vibes I got from its official pre-alpha video. It will also have more destructible objects and better overall destruction. This is exactly what you’d expect from a new BF game.
As EA and DICE stated, this new BF game is still in a pre-alpha stage. So, I’m not certain whether it will come out in 2025 or 2026. If I had to guess, I’d say it targets a Holiday 2025 release. Still, I can easily see it slipping into 2026.
It’s also worth noting that this new BF game does not have an official title. Thus, I’m generally referring to it as BF 2025 or BF 6. This isn’t how it will be named.
Anyway, as I said, these are low-quality videos. The first one showcases the game’s WIP real-time destruction system. As you will see, the weapon does not even have a proper skin. Not only that, but you can easily notice some flickering issues. Still, the debris gave me some PhysX vibes, and that’s a positive thing in my opinion.
The second video is more of a “traditional” BF video. In this video, we get to see a bit more of the map that is available in the beta testing. Again, quality is really low so don’t expect much from it.
Since EA and DICE may take these videos down, I suggest watching them while they are still available. I also expect even more videos to pop up in the next couple of days.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
