505 Games has released two new videos for Blades of Fire, focusing on the Forge and the game’s weapons. Blades of Fire is a third-person action-adventure game from MercurySteam. According to the devs, players will forge their own weapons and face fierce enemies in a unique combat system.

In Blades of Fire, your weapons are your most valuable tools for survival and victory against the forces of Queen Nerea. Forging the perfect weapon and mastering how to use it is essential to ensure you will succeed in your quest to overthrow her. The recently shared Blades of Fire ‘Getting Started’ videos show precisely what you’ll need to do to restore peace to the land.

The forging system is at the heart of gameplay in Blades of Fire and offers players a unique chance to craft powerful weapons that will help them survive in a world of chaos. Players will gather materials, combine elements, and enhance Aran’s gear.

As said, Blades of Fire aims to have a unique and challenging combat system. This system will allow you to attack specific body parts of the enemy. Thus, players can slash, stab or bludgeon enemies depending on the situation and what the enemy is equipped with.

505 Games will release Blades of Fire on May 22nd. Sadly, though, this will be exclusive on Epic Games Store at launch. You can also find its official PC system requirements here.
