Paradox Interactive, Arrowhead Game Studios and the colorfully robed wizards of Magicka would like to apologize to their fans for being unable to attend this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego. The wizards found themselves unexpectedly tied up, unable to reach the convention after a run-in with some colleagues from The Other Side of the Coin, a new expansion to their award-wanting game series.
The Other Side of the Coin is the latest addition to the Magicka library, allowing players to step into the shoes of the bad guys – and then realize they really should have disinfected those shoes. Play as Alucart the Vampire and his necromancer henchmen, and show those good guys what real power looks like, tastes like, and smells like. The Other Side of the Coin is available pretty much everywhere Magicka is available, including Steam, GamersGate, and maybe even in San Diego if you have an internet connection there.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
