Valve today revealed a new Steam feature called Group Updates, making it easier for players to share and enjoy their gaming experiences. According to the company, since The Community first launched, Steam gamers have created over 2.5 Million groups, bringing together their friends and other like-minded gamers to talk about their common interests.
Steam’s games (aka groups) will have a new, revamped layout that will make it easier to see what a group is really about, who’s in it, and what they’ve been up to recently. Valve has also added a group overview, friend showcase, and more.
In addition, each group can now proudly list their favorite games for others to find.
Steam users will also be able to set the default language for the group.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
