Oddworld Inhabitants and Just Add Water have finally released the HD version of Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath for the PC. Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath HD comes as a free update and weights around 3GB. Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath HD was originally meant to hit PC in March 2012, but was slightly delayed. Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath HD has moved on to DirectX (the original version ran on OpenGL), and there’s a 30% sale until Midnight PST on Monday the 17th of September.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD features the game’s 84 character models with increased polygon counts and high resolution textures, including Stranger’s unique “Live Ammo” system for fluid movement, as well as upgraded in-game locations with high resolution textures, along with reflective surfaces and textured vegetation. In addition, Stranger’s Wrath HD comes with up-sampled in-game audio to 16-bit, 44kHz stereo, with support for 5.1 DTS/Dolby Digital surround sound.
