All Hell Breaks Loose – 3D Realms Returns With A ‘Crowdfunded’ Post-Apocalyptic FPS

I really don’t know how I should feel about this, but it seems that 3D Realms is back. Well, not the folks that worked on that studio but the company itself, as it’s co-operating with another – unknown – team for a new post-apocalyptic FPS title, called Earth No More. Pretty much like what they did with Remedy for Max Payne and with Human Head for Prey.
According to Eurogamer, Earth No More was once planned for release in 2009 for PC, X360 and PS3. However, the game was put on hold and was thought cancelled after development duties shifted between various studios.
Earth No More will be coming to the new crowdfunding gaming portal, Gambitious. We should also note that 3D Realms’ co-founder, Scott Miller, is one of the five members of the Gambitious advisory board. Perhaps that can explain why 3D Realms returns, exclusively, on this portal? One can only guess.
The big question here is this – who will actually put his money on a game that is being developed by 3D Realms? That studio managed to put off its publishers for a very promising game. And will all this money go to the actual game or the licensees for the different game engines that will be used on it?
