Square Enix and Bigpoint announced that Gameglobe is now in open beta for everyone. Gameglobe is said to be a unique experience that lets anyone create, share and play their own games – all with console-level HD graphics – or pick from a multitude of levels created by people all around the world.
Rune Vendler, Game Director said:
“People find it hard to believe that this is free-to-play in the browser and now that we’ve opened up the game to everyone, we can’t wait to see what the world will create.”
With easy-to-use tools and props making a game has never been easier; there are even tutorials if you need. But it’s not only about making games: you can play thousands of levels created by other builders and if you want to share them, simply send the unique URL to your friends for them to jump in and start playing straight away… that’s right, they don’t even need to register, the game is playable in the browser, and is free-to-play.
Square Enix has also promised a few tweaks over the next couple of weeks and tonnes of future content.
Enjoy!
