Now this is brilliant. CutStuff.net has released a new version for a freeware FPS that brings the MegaMan universe – and characters – into the first-person shooter genre. Powered by the Zandronum engine (formerly known as skulltag). It features maps, weapons, and skins from every Mega Man game 1-8.
MegaMan 8-Bit Deathmatch features 76 unique weapons, 78+ Deathmatch arenas and a number of MP modes.
This latest version comes with an improved Single-Player campaign mode, MegaMan Powered Up and MegaMan 8 weapons, skins and maps, as well as rebalanced tweaks to the game’s weapons, maps and power-ups.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
