PQube in partnership with Milestone, announced the latest instalment of the MotoGP series, MotoGP 2013. Milestone’s new project promises to bring players into the 2013 championship through the eyes of a real MotoGP rider. MotoGP13 will include all the official tracks and riders of the 2013 MotoGP season. The game was built from the ground up using a brand new game engine, which is said to bring a whole new level of realism to elements such as graphics, physics, bikes, environments and in-game sound.
Dave Pain, CEO of PQube said:
“We’ve enjoyed working with Milestone and have seen that their titles can be very successful in the UK market. MX Mud performed well and WRC3 has been a phenomenal success at retail with over 50,000 units sold in the UK and still going strong. Key to this has been Milestone’s absolute passion for motorsport and their ability to translate that into games. Bringing together the MotoGP license with the quality of Milestone’s engine continues to raise the bar”
Luisa Bixio, Milestone Marketing and Sales Director added:
“We’re very proud to announce MotoGP™13. After four years, we’ve regained the license and we look forward to putting all the expertise we have developed during this time into the game. This new project will offer players the chance to experience a brand new MotoGP game that will include the most-loved features plus brand new ones.”
Paul Serracanta, Managing Director, Commercial Department, Dorna Sports, concluded:
“The new version of the official MotoGP game for 2013 only serves to reaffirm Milestone as a leading company in its field. Thanks to its vast experience and efforts throughout the year we have been able to reach the point where we can proudly announce the launch of the game. We have been working together with every one of the MotoGP™ circuits to bring across every image, sound and feel in the most realistic way. Milestone also brought in the riders to participate in the design of game and give their views, which means the fans will be able to enjoy a gaming experience of the highest level.”
Developed by Milestone studio, MotoGP 13 is scheduled for release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PC and PlayStation Vita.
