Crysis 3 has already been unlocked on various regions and Nvidia decided to take advantage of this launch in order to officially unveil its latest high-end single GPU called Titan. GeForce GTX Titan is based on the GK110 chip and provides performance similar to the GTX 690. Okay, the GTX 690 still has an advantage over the Titan but the key point here is that the Titan is a single card whereas the GTX 690 is a dual card. Nvidia has released an announcement video for this card, and it is rumored that the Titan will cost around $900.
The GeForce GTX Titan has 14 SMX units enabled which gives the GPU a total of 2688 Cuda cores. Clock frequencies are maintained at 837 MHz stock and we should note that the Titan will support GPU Boost 2.0 with which PC gamers can overvolt their card to achieve better clock frequencies.
The GeForce GTX Titan comes with 6GB of GDDR5 memory which runs across a 384-bit interface and clocked at a high 6GHz effective clock speed. Memory chips are scattered across the board, 12 chips are located at the front of the PCB and further 12 are located at the back.
Nvidia’s card will obviously support all of the latest features, such as Nvidia’s PhysX, 3D Stereoscopic display, 3D Vision, DX 11.1 and PCI-e 3.0 compatibility.
