Remember Double Fine’s adventure? You know, the one that raised 3.3 million dollars. Well, apparently that game got an official name and will be called Broken Age. Double Fine has also launched a website for Broken Age, so be sure to at least pay it a visit. Oh, and if you have not backed it up, you can still pre-order it.
Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster–but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue.
According to its pre-order page, those interested can pay $15 for the game and a beta access, or $30 for the game and the Backer access. Backer access includes: private backer-only discussion forums, all past and ongoing episodes of 2 Player Productions’ documentary series following the development of the game, a wealth of development materials from the Double Fine team, a digital soundtrack, beta access when available, and of course the DRM-free game download for PC, Mac, & Linux.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
