Back in February, we informed you about the GOG release of System Shock 2. Well, today we are happy to report that this classic FPS – created by our beloved yet dead Looking Glass – is available on Valve’s digital distribution service, Steam. The Steam release comes with a 30% discount until May 17th, meaning that it will cost you 6,99€.
As its description reads, System Shock 2 is a genre defining experience that established innovative game-play mechanics that are a staple of the FPS and RPG genre today. It has gone on to inspire some of the greatest titles of our generation with games including Deus Ex and Bioshock.
Quite frankly, this is one of the best FPS titles, and you should be ashamed if you’ve never experienced it.
Enjoy the GOG (which is the same with the Steam) trailer of System Shock 2 below!
