Splinter Cell: Blacklist’ producer Andy Wilson has revealed some new tech details about the PC version of Ubisoft’s upcoming action/stealth third person title. According to Wilson, the PC version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist will support both DX9 and DX11. PC gamers can expect horizon based ambient occlusion, TXAA, high resolution shadows, and parallax mapping. In addition, Blacklist will support specific DX11 features, such as tessellation. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
