DuckTales Remastered
Capcom has just released the remastered version of DuckTales, so it’s time to take a look at its first 15 minutes. DuckTales Remastered is a great remake of the classic platformer, with some gorgeous 2D sprites. This is exactly what remakes should look like, so we’ve got to congratulate Capcom and Way Forward for delivering what feels like a polished gem, packed with old-school platforming gameplay.
DuckTales: Remastered has been developed by Way Forward; a studio that took the levels and layout from the original release as a foundation before expanding upon them to significantly enhance the gameplay experience. All of the visuals from the 8-bit game have been beautifully re-created as hand-drawn and animated sprites, across a backdrop of luscious, re-envisioned level backgrounds.
To put it simple; DuckTales: Remastered is beautiful. And it plays just the way you remember from the NES days. Truth be told, Way Forward implemented a number of cut-scenes that may annoy some. Yes yes, those cut-scenes were included in order to provide a better storytelling. And yes, we did not mind them. Why you ask? But because the game features all the original Disney Character voices.
There is really nothing more to add here. DuckTales Remastered is great and we highly recommend it. It blends perfectly the nostalgic feeling of the NES days (in terms of gameplay) with the modern day aesthetics. The game is priced at  $14.99 and can be purchased via Steam.
