Our reader ‘Gianluca Manocchio’ has informed about a new Kickstarter campaign for Mighty No.9, a classic Japanese side-scrolling action title that is being created by Megaman’s creator, Keiji Inafune. Mighty No. 9 promises to be an all-new Japanese side-scrolling action game that takes the best aspects of the 8- and 16-bit era classics we know, and transform them with modern tech and fresh mechanics.
Mighty No. 9 is being developed for the PCÂ with gamepad support, and will be made available through Steam and DRM-free digital distribution methods. Other platforms, including home consoles, Mac, and Linux, are a high priority, but only if we can afford them via stretch goals.
The game is planned for a 2015 release, and Comcept USA aims to raise $900K in the next 30 days.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
