Who can forget Apogee? Oh man, the memories. And we were really sad when both Apogee and 3D Realms closed their doors. However, Apogee is still alive. Well… kind of. The company has launched its new online store and as a result of that, players will gain access to some of Apogee’s favorite legacy titles.
The company has also released the Apogee Legacy Pack, a collection of classic Apogee games, that includes Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, and Blake Stone: Planet Strike. This pack is priced at $19.99, however there will be a $5.00 discount till June 20th.
Terry Nagy, Apogee’s Chief Creative Officer said:
“Apogee fostered young development teams creating a global audience through its digital distribution platform. Apogee will continue its tradition by providing a platform for new developers to access a global market…our online store being the first step in this direction.”
You can find Apogee’s online store and purchase all those classic games from here.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
