The Wikipedia section for the Fallout franchise has spotted an interesting trademark registration from Bethesda. According to the website, Bethesda has filed a trademark for Fallout 4. Fallout Wikipedia has also provided some evidence from those claims, and as we can clearly see, Bethesda has indeed trademarked the Fallout 4 name.
Of course this does not mean much. Perhaps Bethesda is protecting its IP from individuals who may want to take advantage of such a name. Or perhaps this is a prank, similar to the one of Half Life 3.
Last week a new website surfaced, claiming to be a teaser site for this new Fallout game and hinting towards a Fallout 4 reveal at this year’s VGAs. Although people started jumping around like little kids, the domain name resolves to 5.133.13.121 which has a reverse lookup of “d13121.vibiznes.pl” and that’s some hosting company in Poland. Therefore it seems unlikely that this website is legit.
On the other hand, Erik Todd Dellums – voice actor for Fallout 3’s Three-Dog character – teased its followers with two tweets. In the first tweet, Erik wondered whether players were ready to fight the good fight and in the second tweet, Erik just said that all he can do – regarding the recent Fallout 4 rumors – is to smile.
Naturally, take everything you just read with a grain of salt!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
