Assassin’s Creed: Unity – Trailer Sported In-Game Visuals, Good Example Of What May Be Achieved

Ubisoft has released the first trailer for its latest Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and like most of you, we’ve been wondering whether that was a target render or in-engine stuff. Well, it seems that the official Twitter Assassin’s Creed has shed some light on it.

As Ubisoft claimed, the sneak peek trailer of Assassin’s Creed: Unity feature in-game alpha visuals. When a fan tried to correct Ubisoft by saying that what was shown was basically a cut-scene, the French company responded and said that what was shown was not a cut-scene, but in-engine in-game early alpha capture.

Ubisoft went on and said that this sneak peek video was a good example of what it plans to achieve, though it’s still unknown whether it will be able to succeed. After all, this is Ubisoft we’re talking about.

When a fan asked whether the final product will look as good as this alpha footage, Ubisoft said:

“Games tend to go from alpha to beta to gold, so there’s still lots of time. This is a good example of what we hope to achieve.”

In other words, while this sneak peek trailer has been confirmed as in-engine, in-game footage, we still don’t know whether Ubisoft will be able to offer this kind of visuals. The fact that the team ‘hopes to achieve’ this quality of graphics is something that will definitely make a lot of gamers laugh, especially after what happened with Far Cry 3.

Enjoy, one more time, the sneak peek trailer of Assassin’s Creed: Unity and stay tuned for more!
