Blasphemy. Three stories with video-games that were recreated in other engines/games? How dare we? Boohoo. We’re disgusting. Jokes aside though, we really love this kind of recreations. We also love putting unknown modders and indie devs to the spotlight. So hate us all you want, but these guys have done things that really deserve your attention.
So, today we bring you a video that shows Goldeneye 64’s first mission being recreated in Dunia engine (via Far Cry 3’s level editor). Modder ‘William Kjellgren’ promised to recreate the second mission if this video goes viral, so if you are interested in such a thing, make sure to share it with your friends.
Now as to the quality of the map, I’m a little bit disappointed. I was expecting a lot of dynamic lights and higher quality textures. While this looks better than the N64 version, it will not wow you.
Still, it’s better than nothing and we’re pretty sure that Goldeneye 64 fans will appreciate it.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
