Witcher fans, get ready for some really interesting new information. The Polish gaming blog Polygamia.pl interviewed Michal Kicinski – founder of CD Projekt – and his brother Adam – CDP Red’s CEO, who revealed that there is a chance for a remake of The Witcher 1 on RED Engine, though it won’t happen in the next coming years.
In addition, the brothers revealed that the modding tools for The Witcher 2 won’t be released this year and that after version 2.0, PC gamers can expect more patches and enhancements, however there are currently no plans for an expansion with new locations, characters and story line.
The brothers also promised to announce exciting things – like additions and future plans – during CD Projekt/GOG.com Autumn Conference on September 22nd.
Last but not least, a sequel won’t arrive anytime soon as CD Projekt RED will decide about the future of The Witcher 3 in 2012.
