Activision has just updated the official store page of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, listing its minimum PC requirements that are exactly the same with those of Call of Duty: Ghosts. This means that players will need – once again – 6GB of RAM alongside 40GB of free HDD.
We are not certain whether the game will lock systems with less RAM as Call of Duty: Ghosts did prior to its official RamFix. Naturally, Activision will be really stupid to attempt something like that, especially if the game is unable to take advantage of more than 2GB of RAM (something that its predecessor was criticized for).
Here are the minimum PC requirements:
-
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
-
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better Recommended: Intel® Core™ i5 – 680 @ 3.6GHz
-
RAM: 6 GB RAM Recommended: 8 GB RAM
-
HDD: 40GB HD space
-
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or betterRecommended: NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 760 @ 4GB
-
Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
-
DirectX: 11
-
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.
[UPDATE]
Activision has removed the aforementioned minimum PC requirements from the game’s store page.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
