SEGA and The Creative Assembly have released a new update for Alien: Isolation that adds two more difficulty modes: Nightmare and Novice. As you may have expected, this new Nightmare mode is for all die-hard hardcore gamers that found the game too easy, while the Novice mode is for those who would like to explore Sevastopol instead of consistently hiding to avoid the androids or the alien itself.
As the team said about these two new difficulty modes:
“In Nightmare, players explore the world of Sevastopol with a motion tracker featuring a damaged display and undependable information. Resources will be even more limited, the map systems have gone offline and fellow survivors and synthetics are even more deadly and aggressive.
In Novice, you’ll be given more resources and ammunition, with synthetics and fellow survivors being less troublesome. Our Alien will also be more forgiving, more easily distracted and less aggressive in his hunting style.”
As always, this free update will be auto-downloaded from Steam next time you launch its client.
Enjoy!
