Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is out on the PC and some PC gamers found tools to unlock the game’s data. By doing this, they opened up the possibilities of modding the game itself. Not only that, but some new details about The Phantom Pain have emerged due to the files found in Ground Zeroes.
According to Ground Zeroes files, The Phantom Pain will feature six weather conditions. And these are: Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Sandstorm, Foggy and Pouring.
From what we know this far, GZ features a pouring environment, the Deja Vu mission is with a cloud weather, Renegady Threat is sunny and the sandstorm weather condition was showcased during one of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s trailers.
In addition, the game’s files confirmed that there will be a Cyprus environment (you may remember when The Phantom Pain was teased a Cyprus map that was featured in the hospital. Furthermore, the game will feature Afghanistan, Guantanamo, Middle Africa, Mother Base and Old Mother Base.
Kudos to NeoGAF‘s members for finding these new details.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is currently planned for a 2015 release!
