The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – PC Version Will Include Option To Completely Disable Chromatic Aberration

You know what, Chromatic Aberration is one of the worst graphical effects we’ve ever seen. While this effect worked fine in Alien: Isolation, it has made almost all other games look far worse. Dying Light and Lords of the Fallen are two games that benefit greatly from removing this annoying graphical effect, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be another to be added to that list.

Yeap, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt uses Chromatic Aberration. It seems that CD Projekt RED decided to replace the game’s sharpening filter (the one that a lot of people criticized in the game’s early screenshots) with this new “we_must_have_in_our_game_no_matter_what” effect. Thankfully, however, PC gamers will be able to completely disable it via the game’s graphics options.

As CD Projekt RED’s GingerEffect wrote on the official forums:

“There is a toggle for Chromatic Aberration in PC Settings.”

And that is that. Thank God there will be an option to disable it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases this May!
