Grey Box, Six Foot, and developer YAGER announced today that Dreadnought will be playable to the European public for the very first time at gamescom. Attendees can experience the game’s 5v5 Team Deathmatch mode across two maps and chat with members of YAGER’s development crew.
Also at the booth will be dedicated streamer stations where fans can meet some of their favorite online personalities as they play the game on their channels, as well as the official PlayDreadnought Twitch channel.
YAGER CEO Timo Ullmann said:
“We’re thrilled for the excitement Dreadnought has received from people all over the world since we announced it last year. And on a personal level, we’re all very happy to finally be able to put players in the captain’s chair on our home turf. gamescom is a homecoming of sorts for us, and we can’t wait to meet and mingle with players at this year’s show.”
Set in a futuristic era of galactic strife, Dreadnought puts players in command of massive capital ships for all-out tactical action warfare in space and across the skies of distant worlds. Battleships come in a variety of shapes and sizes, each specialized to bring a unique, class-based role to the squad. These vessels can be customized even further with powerful armaments, abilities, perks, and a large variety of visual enhancements. The free-to-play game will feature competitive and cooperative online multiplayer modes, as well as a single-player campaign.
Dreadnought is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) technology and is expected to officially launch on PC in 2016.
