All hell’s broke loose and all STALKER fans were really disappointed when they found out that STALKER 2 would probably require a permanent internet connection in order to be played. As you may have guessed, GSC GameWorld had to act. Fast. And according to the game’s Twitter account, this particular DRM method was only mentioned as a possibility, not a choice.
As the company tweeted:
“DRM was only mentioned as a possibility, not a choice. We’re still looking for a method that is acceptable for both GSC and the community!”
So here is hoping that STALKER 2’s DRM won’t be as intrusive as it was meant to. Hopefully, GSC GameWorld will abandon those plans after its fans reactions and we won’t be forced to stay always online to enjoy the sequel to one of our most favourite post-apocalyptic FPS games!
