PCGamer has revealed that NieR: Automata will be coming on the PC/Steam on March 7th. In addition, Square Enix released a new trailer for NieR: Automata that can be viewed below.
As PCGamer claimed, a Square Enix rep has confirmed that the PC release date will be the same as the PS4 date in the west. This basically means that NieR: Automata will be released on Steam on March 7th in North America and on March 10th in Europe and Australia.
NieR: Automata is an RPG tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim a machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful weapons known as machine lifeforms.
NieR Automata is developed by a team consisting of producer Yosuke Saito (DRAGON QUEST X / NIER), director YOKO TARO (Drakengard / NIER ), character designer Akihiko Yoshida from CyDesignation (FINAL FANTASY XIV / BRAVELY DEFAULT), game designer Takahisa Taura from PlatinumGames (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), and composer Keiichi Okabe from MONACA (TEKKEN / Drakengard 3 / NIER ).
Enjoy!
UPDATE:
PCGamer updated its article, claiming that the previous statement (about the release date of NieR: Automata’s PC version) was incorrect.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
