Microsoft has released the latest insider build of Windows 10 and with it comes its new Game Mode. According to Microsoft, this mode targets performance enhancements in two ways, and it is currently supporting only a select number of games.
The two ways via which Microsoft targets to improve performance are: a) an increase overall framerate or peaks and b) an increase in average framerates or consistency.
Game mode has its own section in this latest insider build of Windows 10 in System Settings.
In order to enable Game Mode, players will have to press Windows+G in order to pull up the game bar and click into settings in order to enable it.
Game mode is currently available only to the members of Windows 10 Fast Ring, and will become available to everyone this Spring.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
