Modder ‘An_Unknown_Player’ has released two videos for his upcoming fan remake of Sonic Robo Blast 2 in the Zandronum Engine. This fan remake is called zSRB2 and its goal is to recreate the Multiplayer portion of the game. zSRB2 will features two game modes (Match and Race) and over 20 New maps.
In case you weren’t aware of, Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a 3D open-source Sonic the Hedgehog fangame built using a modified version of the Doom Legacy port of Doom.
The first video shows some of the game’s bouncing physics, while the second one shows Knuckles’ climbing and gliding techniques.
The modder will release a new version of zSRB 2 soon (that will feature over 10 new maps), so stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
