It appears that the latest version of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech has been cracked. This new version of Denuvo has been used in 2Dark, Nier: Automata, Dead Rising 4 and the latest version of Mass Effect: Andromeda. And from the looks of it, a certain group was able to successfully crack 2Dark.
It’s worth noting that 2Dark is using the X86 version of the latest Denuvo anti-tamper tech and not its X64. According to reports, the X86 version is easier to crack, which may explain why 2Dark was the first game that was cracked.
Nier: Automata, Dead Rising 4 and Mass Effect: Andromeda use the X64 version of Denuvo, so it will be interesting to see whether these games will be also cracked or not.
It will also be interesting to see whether the big developers and publisher will remove the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from their games (once they are cracked).
Right now, only four developers have removed Denuvo from their cracked games: id Software (DOOM), Crytek (The Climb), Dampbuster Studios (Homefront: The Revolution) and Playdead (Inside).

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
