Kickstarter Campaigns In Serious Trouble – Should Gamers Keep Backing Them Up?

Broken Age
Well, this was meant to happen. The idea of kickstarting a game sounded too good to be true. Nothing could possibly go wrong, right? Wrong. A couple of months ago we noticed a ‘kickstarted’ game featuring a sort of DRM that was never included in its initial description. That title was no other than Shadowrun Returns; a game that would be coming to Valve’s digital distribution service, Steam. Naturally, the development team revealed – back then – that a DRM-free version would be also hitting the Internet, however that version would not be frequently updated. In short, the Steam version would be the best offer. And here hopes another one to bite the dust, as Double Fine’s Broken Age is in dire danger. In SEGA’s & Gearbox’s Defense – Why The Aliens: Colonial Marines Lawsuit Is A Bunch Of Nonsense

Aliens Colonial Marines v2
I’m pretty sure that by now, most of you are already aware about the lawsuit against SEGA and Gearbox for the early gameplay trailers and footages of Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to the lawsuit and as described by Polygon, SEGA and Gearbox ‘falsely advertised Aliens by showing demos at trade shows like PAX and E3 which didn’t end up being accurate representations of the final product‘ and that ‘by sending out review code to the press under an embargo that lifted in the early morning of Aliens: Colonial Marines’ launch date of Feb. 12, the game’s pre-orderers and early adopters would have no knowledge of the discrepancies between the demo and final game‘. Hilarious. Continue reading In SEGA’s & Gearbox’s Defense – Why The Aliens: Colonial Marines Lawsuit Is A Bunch Of Nonsense

Orion: Dino Horde Controversy – Let The Battle Begin

Orion Dino Beatdown
