You know what? Everyone can come up with gaming analyses. No seriously, everyone can do his/her homework and predict something. And quite frankly, we got tired of all those gaming analysts that try so hard to predict things that will a) never happen or b) that are 100% confirmed. Ironically, these guys are being paid and the industry seems to be focused on their predictions. However, Diablo III proved analysts wrong and shows why we don’t need analysts. Far Cry 3’s latest footage is underwhelming and shows what is wrong with today’s gaming industry

A new Far Cry 3 footage emerged today, courtesy of GameTrailers, and showcases what is wrong with the gaming industry these days. You see, Far Cry is known for its freedom. Yeah, freedom (mark this word because it’s really important). However, Ubisoft seems unable to offer what all of their fans have been asking all these years. Instead, the company decided to go the Uncharted route and include one hell of scripted events and scripted gameplay sequences that were made exclusively for that scene. This is why we need more than 2GB vRAM in our graphics cards

You know what? Specular and diffuse maps are perhaps the cleverest things we’ve ever seen in the gaming industry. In case you were unaware of, specular and diffuse maps are usely applied when light is being casted on various textures. Ironically, they are also those that have kept us behind this whole time, as most developers use detailed specular and diffuse maps to ‘hide’ their blurry and low-resolution textures. This can be easily noticed even in Crysis, especially when there is no light to hide the textures of those, infamous rocks. As a result of that, textures in shadow places look flat and blurry as hell. Continue reading This is why we need more than 2GB vRAM in our graphics cards

We were wondering whether we should write a performance analysis for Mass Effect 3 or not. You see, BioWare’s game has a lot of PC issues, and we should bring them to your attention.
