Report: Despite Claims, Most PC Games Are Still Unable To Take Advantage Of More Than 4 CPU Cores

Well, you gotta love developers. This past year, we’ve been hearing from a lot of teams that their games were taking advantage of more than four CPU cores. And you know what? We decided to put a lot of CPU-bound games to the test. The results are a bit disheartening – to say the least – proving that most PC games are unable to properly take advantage of multiple CPUs. DSOGaming – Test System Upgraded – Performance Difference Between Q9650 & i7 4930K

We know that you wanted a new test system for our PC Performance Analyses. Blasphemy, how could we write about PC games and how they perform when we are using a mere Q9650? Truth be told, an overclocked Q9650 is still a good choice and will not bottleneck even a GTX690, provided the games are properly optimized for the PC platform. That section will be updated each and every week with the best comment that was submitted. Naturally, it’s really hard figuring out the one comment that is best suited for it, meaning that you can share the comment that impressed you the most, made you laugh, or the one you think should win. So go ahead and share the best comment you’ve seen this past week (remember to also include the user that posted the comment). Continue reading DSOGaming – Comment Of The Week [April 26th – May 2nd]
