New Project CARS Build introduces rain spray effects; new gorgeous screenshots from it unveiled

Slightly Mad Studios has released a new build for Project CARS that adds rain spray effects and Darkdeus has shared some new screenshots from it. We’ve also included two screenshots that were shared by Rage3D’s user, Mahjik. As you’d expect, these screenshots show in-game footage and have not been photoshopped in any way. Hideo Kojima showcased Fox Engine behind closed doors in Comic-Con

Back in May, we told you that Kojima would showcase Fox Engine in July. Well, it seems that was half the truth, unless the Japanese company decides to unveil what has been shown in this year’s Comic-Con behind closed doors. Hideo tweeted a couple of hours ago that we could expect lots of happenings at ComicCon. And although the Konami team did not reveal anything to the public during Comic-Con, Cliff Bleszinski and some other developers were pulled into a back room at Comic Con by Hideo and were showcased some ‘crazy new secret stuff’. Weekly Skyrim Gallery [July 8th – 14th]; Game of Thrones comes to Skyrim

Skyrim keeps getting better and better with all the upcoming mods and custom ENBSeries settings. Today, we bring you new images from the works of 83Willow, gionight, BKnumber3, VictoriaG, Chilliblitz, Staind716, Steschu, PMind, tupadre, zzjay, Hungryriceball, ScreaminGreenMachine, Evangeli, Rosendaemonin, ShadowHeartsTwo, theradikal11, solsikke737 and dryna. Games of Thrones’ characters Daenerys and Khal Drogo come to life thanks to Rosendaemonin. However, the highlight of this week is undoubtedly dryna’s landscape images (first two). It’s really hard to capture gorgeous landscape screenshots (due to the engine’s behaviour when it comes to distant textures) but dryna has outdone himself. Enjoy! Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [July 8th – 14th]

Today we bring you some new images from the works of Crysis 2 modders d1ea, kabrita, USSR_GRAND, neo83_gr, angjminer, iSqueezee, chicken, and rGOt. iSqueezee and chicken had been experimenting with various assets, while rGOt and kabrita had been tweaking their tropical maps. angjminer on the other hand is creating a Doom map for Crysis 2, and both neo83_gr and USSR_GRAND are working on their own, custom maps. Battlefield 3 meets Skyrim in these custom, fan-made screenshots

Do you know what would be really cool in Battlefield 3, apart from fighting against dinosaurs? Well, fighting against dragons. It appears that more gamers share this vision with us, and we were surprised to see some of them creating amazing mashups between these two games. Imagine a game with Skyrim’s openness and Battlefield’s mechanics. Man, that would be really interesting. Until some developers decide to offer us something like that though, we’ll have satisfy our need with the following two screenshots. The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings – Steam Summer Surprise Unveiled

A couple of days ago, we informed you about a Summer surprise for the Steam version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and it’s time now to unveil what this surprise actually is. In case you’ve been wondering and haven’t figured it out yet, this Summer surprise is an Achievement that also gives you a new, flaming version of Quen that can incinerate attackers. This new Quen attack looks different and it’s more ‘Summer-ish’. As stated, this Achievement is available only on the Steam version of The Witcher 2. Deadpool The Videogame Announced

High Moon Games and Activision have revealed a new third-person action game, starring Deadpool. Deadpool The Videogame is slated for release next year, and although it’s being developed by High Moon Studios, there is hope for a PC version as Transformers: Fall of Cybertron got one. Nolan North (known as the voice of Drake in the Uncharted series) will be the voice of Deadpool and you can find below the debut trailer of the game that is courtesy of IGN. Enjoy! Crysis 2 Total Conversion ‘Earth 2050’ showcases the need for open-world games based on CryEngine 3

As we’ve said countless of times, CryEngine 3 has a lot of potential. And although we’ve been getting a lot of gorgeous indoor and jungle scenes, we kind of wondered what an open-world game would look like on Crytek’s game engine. Well, time to find out as Kanestudio1988 released a mind-blowing video for their CryEngine 3 project, Earth 2050. Earth 2050 is an experimental project and might not get released, but it does prove how versatile CryEngine 3 is and showcases the need for an open-world game, powered by it. Enjoy! Battlefield Twitter Account de-confirms BF4 rumors and then… hints at BF4 coming ‘one day’

Two F’ ups in a single day? Now that’s really something. A couple of hours ago, we informed you about BF4’s banner in the Origin pre-purchase page of Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Electronic Arts was quick enough to respond and remove it. Battlefield’s Twitter team on the other hand debunked the BF4 rumors by stating that if there isn’t anything in Battlefield.com, then it is not real. However, the team decided to completely remove that post and replace with one that hints at BF4.
