James Bond: 007 Legends is coming to the PC and will be a Steamworks title

Great news for James Bond fans as James Bond: 007 Legends will be coming to the PC. The game was originally slated only for consoles but according to the game’s official website, it will be coming to our beloved platform and will be a Steamworks title. Unfortunately, Activision has not revealed whether the PC version will be delayed or not, though the press release states that all versions will be released this October. Future features, like the housing system or mounts, can be tested and new areas can be entered on this server. DICE had plans for BF3’s DLCs right from the start, Armored Kill to feature the biggest BF map

Remember when developers were creating their games with all of its content? Well, it seems that those days are long gone. Every game is now built with DLCs in mind and Battlefield 3 was no different. According to Inge Jøran Holberg, Operations team Producer Björn Johnsson approached some of DICE’s designers and asked them if they had any ideas for “Xpack 3”, the third expansion pack for Battlefield 3 that would follow up the infantry focused Close Quarters. In other words, Electronic Arts had already deployed its DLC plans for BF3 right when the game got released in October 2011. 8-BIT First-Person Shooter in Real Life

Okay, this is too good to pass by. teen&cheese have created an amazing 8bit video in order to celebrate July 4th. Yeah, a bit late but the video is so good that we felt the need to share it with you. As the title suggests, this is an 8-Bit FPS game in real environments and looks F’ing sweet. Of course you won’t like it if you’re English (due to the July 4th nature), however we urge to keep an open mind and enjoy it as it’s a parody and nothing more. Fortnite will most probably come to other platforms at a later date, hints at next-generation consoles

Call us unimpressed but Cliff Bleszinski has stated that Fortnite might be coming to other platforms at a later date. Fact is that Fortnite was originally a multi-platform title that was developed on Unreal Engine 3. We thought there was something fishy with this PC exclusive thing and it seems we were correct, as Fortnite is not developed to take advantage of PC gaming. It’s ironic, but in our Editorial – three posts below – we said that Minecraft was great on consoles and Fortnite could work as good as Notch’s title. We were right, there is no doubt about that. Epic’s Mark Rein: “Fortnite trailer was on UE3, switched to UE4 this year, PC gamers will love it”

Epic Games’ Mark Rein has revealed that last year’s trailer of Fortnite was running on Unreal Engine 3. According to Rein, the switch to Unreal Engine 4 happened this year and in order to showcase their improvements over the older version, Epic released the first set of screenshots from the latest version of Fortnite. The game has a cartoon-ish style and some sweet lighting/shadowing effects, but then again, the same graphical elements where the ones that stood out in the game’s debut trailer. CD Projekt RED hints at a Summer surprise for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings owners

CD Projekt RED has just hinted at a Summer surprise for owners of The Witcher 2’s Steam version. According to the team, PC gamers should fire up their Steam copy of “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings” because they’ve prepared something special for everyone who’s bought the game on that platform. Even though CD Projekt RED did not reveal much, we saw an unknown update for The Witcher 2 a couple of hours ago (the update was 80MB in size).
