Toxic Games, a newly formed small independent developer based in Newport, South Wales founded by former classmates, began development of Q.U.B.E. as a student project in 2009. All three core members are game designers with no programming expertise. Thanks to the encouragement of academic mentors and industry professionals, and with the help of the Indie Fund for start-ups, Toxic Games went from student hobbyists to independent developers upon graduation from university. Serious Sam fans, get ready for some crazy split-screen mayhem as Croteam has confirmed that Serious Sam 3: BFE will ship on the PC with four-player split screen campaign cooperative and multiplayer versus modes. This basically means that players can use a mouse and keyboard in combination with up to three game pads on a PC to battle together through the twelve levels of mayhem and go head-to-head in Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Survival, Beast Hunt and other multiplayer modes in Serious Sam 3: BFE. First it was Minecraft, then came Terraria and here is today a new crafting game called Lords Of Uberdark. Lords Of Uberdark is basically a voxel-based mining / building / crafting game and at this point, it features arbitrary, non-blocky terrain and cartoon style graphics. At this point, we should note that Notch – Minecraft’s creator – has pointed a lot of people to Lords Of Uberdark, so kudos to Mr Mincrafter. Independent game studio Re-Logic released today the massive and highly anticipated 1.6 Update for Terraria. Its changelog is huge and can be viewed after the jump. Be warned though that it is… well… huge. This latest update brings improvements to the game’s gameplay and NPCs, adds new enemies, items, features and character hairstyles and features some minor optimizations.
