Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising Free Trial Announced

Heatwave Interactive announced today that there will be a free trial version for their MMOG, Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising. This free trial is limited to one per account, but players get to keep their accounts if they upgrade to a full version during the trial period. Tomb Raider will only use QTE’s to deliver an intense and cinematic experience but won’t be overused

Let’s be honest, even though Tomb Raider was one of the best games at Microsoft’s Conference in this year’s E3, those damn quick-time events worried us. Yeah, they added to the atmosphere but we want to play a game and not watch a movie. Was the game following Heavy Rain’s example? Apparently not, as Noah Hughes, creative director, stated that Tomb Raider won’t rely much on QTE’s. Path of Exile Closed Beta Coming Next Week + New Trailer

Grinding Gear Games announced that their online action RPG, Path of Exile, will enter ‘closed beta’ on August 10th.  In case you were unaware of, Path of Exile is a a free online-only action RPG that is influenced by the Diablo series. The company has also unveiled plans for a range of Player vs. Player combat options designed to encourage a competitive online playing field. ASTA, Trinity 2, Born To Fire and Fishing Hero to make Western debut at Gamescom 2011

NHN announced today that four of their titles will make their Western debut at this year’s GamesCom. These four games are PC exclusives and according to the company, the GamesCom presentations will consist of a short video and Q&A with the games producers, to be followed by a free play session with the English versions of the games. Duke Nukem Forever PC Update Released

PC gamers, get ready because it’s time to kick some alien ass with your four-weapon arsenal. Oh yeah, the highly anticipated PC patch for Duke Nukem Forever is finally out and offers support for four weapons and the ability to change your FOV. Warface – Blackwood Teaser Trailer Released

Crytek released a new teaser trailer for their latest upcoming free-to-play first person shooter, Warface. Warface promises to offer a cinematic experience with next gen visuals, AI and physics based on Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE 3 game development solution. Warface provides gamers with a constantly updated extensive PVE universe full of dramatic multiplayer co-op missions, a full set of class based PVP and will be available for PC. This new Crytek IP is especially dedicated to the Asian markets and is developed by Crytek Kiev and co-produced by Crytek Seoul and Crytek Frankfurt. Voxatron is an interesting indie game that uses voxels and looks ‘retro-awesome’

Oh boy, with the re-appearance of Unlimited Detail, we search for similar games and found Voxatron, an indie voxel game that looks amazing. It’s quite a simple game at heart — mostly just Robotron set in a 3d destructible world with goofy creatures, and will feature a custom software rendering with soft shadows, built-in sound and music synthesizer, as well as playback & post game recording. Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Adam’s Quest Trailer

Deus Ex fans, get ready for the return of this legendary series. Human Revolution will be released this month and Square Enix released yet another new trailer for it. This trailer focuses on Adam’s quest and is distributed via Machinima, so all credits go to them.
