By now, most of you will surely know Darkworks’ latest game, Black Death. So, here are the first screenshots and artworks for this game. Although it is in early development stage, it doesn’t look as good as most modern multiplatform games. As we can see, there are a lot of low-res textures and some really annoying blur effects. EA announced today that their twin-stick shooter, Gatling Gears, will be launched today in North America on the PlayStation Network and will be priced at $9.99. The game is developed by Amsterdam-based Vanguard Games in partnership with EA Partners and is also available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800 Microsoft points. Senior public relations manager for Epic Games, Dana Cowley, shared on her Tweeter a new screenshot that showcases Unreal 3 Engine’s new foliage system. And we have to say that it looks great. The lighting system and TOD also look better from everything we’ve ever seen so far from this engine, although we’d wish that Cowley would release a higher resolution screenshot of it. Warner Bros announced that their the award-winning Action-RPG, Bastion, will lead Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade on Xbox Live. The game will be released on July 20th, is priced at 1200 Microsoft Points and will be the first title to be released for the Microsoft Summer of Arcade lineup. Valve has picked up and released the winning maps of their Summer Mapping Initiative contest. According to the company, more than 280 maps were submitted. 13 judges played and voted them.
