Focus Home Interactive has released some brand new screenshots from their upcoming strategy game, Wargame: European Escalation. Wargame’s powerful engine, the IRISZOOM, animates all these units on incredibly huge maps as big as 60 square miles, which display over 100 million scenery objects. Wargame: European Escalation promises to let players control over 360 different units and vehicles faithfully modeled after actual units from 1975 to 1985 and is slated for release later this month. Firebase Industries has released the first screenshots from the PC version of their indie game, Orbitron: Revolution. Orbitron: Revolution was previously available exclusively on XBLA and was running at 30fps. Naturally, the PC version was rewritten to accomodate with 60fps and Firebase aims to deliver an excellent PC version of their game and not a straight conversion of the Xbox 360 version. Earlier yesterday we posted the first screenshots of Assetto Corsa, the new racing sim game from KUNOS Simulazioni. Mapper ‘Cleric’ has released some new screenshots from his Quake map that is under development for Crysis 2. This is basically a re-imagining of Quake’s first level and uses some of the assets found in iD Software’s classic shooter, like the ammo crates and the button switches. BioWare has unveiled today the cast for 2012’s first blockbuster game, Mass Effect 3. The ensemble will see the return of fan favorites, including Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man, Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale as Male and Female Shepard and will introduce Freddie Prinze, Jr. as James Vega, a marine who will help Commander Shepard take Earth back. Deep Silver has released some brand new screenshots for their upcoming RPG, Risen 2: Dark Waters. Risen 2 is being developed by Piranha Bytes and features new gameplay elements that add to the diversity of Risen 2; for example, players can also use firearms now. And, being pirates, adventurers can also employ special new skills called Dirty Tricks, allowing them to confuse or attack enemies in combat. The game is currently slated for a 2012 release. Enjoy!
