Let me begin this review by saying the following: I play video games in order to be entertained (well…it’s also my job, but anyway). I don’t care about politics, agendas, races, sexes or whatever else that has nothing to do with gaming. Gaming is my hobby, and I am happy I can do this professionally. Having said that, my goal is to let you know whether a game is worth your hard-earned money or not. With this out of the way, let’s continue. Continue reading Wolfenstein: Youngblood Review

Sea of Solitude Review
This may sound like a joke, but I actually studied psychology for an entire year during my undergrad years. Admittedly, I came to hate the subject in the end, but the course did have some interesting moments. A particularly fascinating section was on the hidden part of the human mind not accessible to conscious thought, known in psychology as the ‘unconscious’. Continue reading Sea of Solitude Review
Octopath Traveller – PC Review
I am one of those weirdos who buys JRPG’s off the Android store rather than taking refuge in the haven of emulation. Many frown when I tell them this, and some check if I remembered to take my medication. Fact is, the Android store has built up a really decent selection, and these days I can often be found curled up on the couch, working my way through the classics on my tablet. Continue reading Octopath Traveller – PC Review
Team Sonic Racing – Review
One of my favourite things in the gaming industry is the rivalries between mascots. Sam Fisher has Solid Snake, Duke Nukem has Serious Sam, Nathan Drake has Lara Croft, and, of course, Sonic has Mario. While their respective fan bases might get a little… passionate when you challenge their loyalty, the competition that these mascots have created always pushed studios to make some great games. Anno 1800 Review: A Quality Copy of Itself
Anno 1800 is an engrossing and fantastic mix of city building, economic simulation, and real-time strategy. It’s so easy to get sucked in to the whole affair, as the hours fly by and your empire slowly expands. Granted, there’s much micro-management required, and the game strongly favors those of us with a patient dedication to detail. Still, there’s a soothing rhythm to it all if you can find the groove hiding within the various complex systems. Continue reading Anno 1800 Review: A Quality Copy of Itself
RAGE 2 – Review
What is the secret behind a good sequel? While some of the best sequels focus on refining what was poorly implemented in the first installment, others just carry on the story and leave the core gameplay largely intact. Then there are sequels that have blown our minds by making everything bigger or more elaborate, and yet some of my other favourites are basically just a graphical upgrade. Continue reading RAGE 2 – Review
Mortal Kombat 11 – Review
Mortal Kombat represents more than a game: it has taken on something close to a counterculture within our industry. It is an I.P. that has consistently laughed in the face of censorship boards, and has never compromised on delivering the unfiltered carnage of close combat. In fact, this franchise is literally (partly) responsible for why the ESRB rating system exists today. Continue reading Mortal Kombat 11 – Review
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Review
First off, this review is spoiler-free, apart from the introduction. The screenshots are mostly from the first area, and I’ve tried to avoid even the tiniest reveal past the start of the game. Please go on and read without fear of something being spoiled for you. I’ve made sure of this.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Review
It seems like an eternity since I was last called to service as a Division Agent. It was set shortly after Black Friday, 2015, a date that can’t be erased from my memory. This was the first time I was called to save people and even humanity from a mortally dangerous virus unleashed in the heart of New York on that busy Black Friday. Continue reading Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Review
One Piece: World Seeker – Review
When I first heard of One Piece: World Seeker, I remember thinking it was about time they brought one of Shonen Jump’s most widely-beloved exports to gaming. Unbeknownst to me, the now eight hundred and seventy-three episode anime has actually ventured into our industry numerous times over the last nineteen years. Some quick research revealed that One Piece has inspired several beat ‘em ups, fighting games, turn-based JRPG’s, action-adventure games, and even a baseball game.
